Chlomethoxyfen (Ref: X-52) |
(Also known as: chlomethoxynil; diphenex) |
Chlomethoxyfen is a larely obsolete herbicide that was once used to rice weeds. It has a low aqueus solubility and is not volatile. It is not expected to persist in soil systems. It has a low oral toxicity to mammals and is a know skin, eye and respiratory tract irritant as well as being a skin sensitiser. Little is known regarding its potential to cause more serious health issues in humans. There are also significant data gaps regarding its ecotoxicology although some data suggests it is not highly toxic to aquatic organisims.. |
The following alerts are based on the data in the tables below. An absence of an alert does not imply the substance has no implications for human health, biodiversity or the environment but just that we do not have the data to form a judgement.

Estimated concentrations of chemicals with Koc values greater than 9995 ml g⁻¹ are beyond the scope of the regression data used in SCI-GROW development. If there are concerns for such chemicals, a higher tier groundwater exposure assessment should be considered, regardless of the concentration returned by SCI-GROW |
