Calcium hydroxide

(Also known as: slake lime; pickling lime; hydrated lime; calcium dihydroxide)

Calcium hydroxide is an inorganic salt that has a range of pesticidal functions but these tend not to be agriculturally focused. The substance has a high aqueous solubility but is not volatile and is not considered to be problematic for environmental quality. No significant human health issues have been identified. Although there is a data gap for ecotoxiclogy data calcium hydroxide is not likley to be a serious issue.
